Unknowingly caught up in an experiment to manipulate Reality, by corrupt quantum scientists seeking the Unholy Grail of controlling Matter across Space and Time, Carter must prove his innocence – or guilt – before his arrest by the same tenacious veteran detective who’d questioned him months before when an ex-girlfriend had been found murdered in the same brutal way as the other victims – her violent death now only leaving Carter doubting his sanity even more.
